There are a few debates here. Proposition, the whole forum. Opposition, Prefects.
1)Hao Yang and Nat have changed their character since becoming prefects. Now they are more like Policemen setting up road blocks in front of our class. Is this good? And what happened to our good friends last year?
2)Bringing drinks into the class? Wrong? why?
3)Booking. Does it work? Its like the police road block on the road to catch drink drivers. Defeats the purpose?
Haha some of the things I have realised about our 2 friends. ;D

Finally a debate i am interested in! 1) I hate bookings!!!!! But i do need to buy a badge soon. But where in the morning!!?!? 2)I hate this rule. 'ANTS WILL COME IF WE SPILL THE DRINKS'- we are not primary kids!!!?!?! 3) I still hate bookings, and it depends on what are you booked for. I understand abt lateness. But getting booked for no badge and tie- when you don't have them defeats the purpose.-NO PREFECT TOLD ME WHERE THE HECK TO GET THOSE IN THE MORNING!!!

ok tim i agree with the police thing i myself sayed that2 HY and i think he slapped me (cant remember but anyway he slap for anything)
so yea back 2 the point the thing is u shuldnt ague about this cos u dun get into trouble with prefects or pwefects and the reason y we hav 2 change is simple if ur a recruit and then some 1 gives u some post puts under trainingand pressure would u b the same person no! thats the freakin reason y they put u under training in the 1st place to change u make u physically, mentally and spiritually stronger 2ndly its simple ur given a new post u hav new responsibilities new tasks an therefore requires a new change of person u definitely cant be the same old person if u wanna b a prefect then wads the use of calling urself a prefect lastly, we dun like 2 change ourselves we liked our old selves but ever heard of who moved my cheese? in life there are so many changes u jus hav 2 change with them also i hope we havent really changed our character and 2 point out u changed urs too nowadays during recess u shout and and smtimes go mad and get so moody nowadays last time u were always happy smiling carefree (me 2) but sec 2 toughens u up like Jon Ng said we cant forever b the nerdy sec1 person we used 2 b we also dun like booking peoplebut we hav expectations 2 meet and also hav u evr thought of what will happen if there were no prefects? no HY 2 sing on swimming meet and make his debut album haha like ur quote climb into our skin and dun jus stop there walk aroun in it. try wearing our tie badge and collar pin and try to b that same person u used 2 b ull die lastly (now this is really last) i knida hate mornin duty cos the time u get 2 spend in class b4 assembly is very meaningful make full use of it nowadays its like i pnly get 2 see a few people and then its lessons and then its soccer when can i evr talk 2 my classmates?

If you give a good excuse they'll let you go la. i mean its not your fault the bloody kavita shout so loud until you faint and spill the drinks all over haoyangs tie.... 3)Booking. Does it work? Its like the police road block on the road to catch drink drivers. Defeats the purpose? Just rip out the page your name is on. You gotta pickpocket em first, sadly 2)Bringing drinks into the class? Wrong? why? Not wrong. As long as you prove you dont litter or dirty the classroom im sure they wont mind.

I agree with what Mr. Frosty has said. Besides the police thing and the bring drinks into class thing, most of the things such as lateness and ..... ok i dunno are still ok, but can you guys actually give us a GOOD REASON ON WHY CANT WE BRING DRINKS INTO CLASS!!??! Maybe tie and badges are still ok, but one more thing to add to this debate- DOES BOOKING, DETENTION AND DEMERITS ACTUALLY MAKE THEM DO STH CORRECTLY? I mean, maybe demerits and detention yes, bookings no, but i think this is the WRONG WAY to make them remember! Why not just make them stand in the corner???

To me, bookings, dememrits and detention are necessary to instill discipline in somebody. Chestee, bookings are necessary cos they result in demerits and detention, which is what students do not want, therefore it is useful.
And about drinks. If you spill your drink somewhere in the school, are you responsible enough to clean it up? You are only increasing the already heavy workload that the aunties and uncles have.
If everybody drinks and spills in the SAC, at least the spillage is contained. IMAGINE IF THERE ARE SPILLAGES AT THE SPACE FRAME, LANGUAGE ROOMS, ALL THE CLASSROOMS AND AMPHI, DO YOU THINK YOU WANT TO CLEAN IT UP? I don't think so.

WHAT ARE THE d**n CHANCES OF SPILLAGE TELL ME!?!?! NOBODY, I MEAN NOBODY, WANTS TO SPILL HIS d**n DRINKS! SPILLING DRINKS WAS WHAT THEY DID IN PRIMARY 1 AND WE ARE NOW IN SECONDARY SCHOOL AND TELL ME, WILL YOU SPILL YOUR WATER ANYWHERE? NO! AND IF YOU DON'T SPILL WATER, THE CHANCES OF SPILLING A DRINK COMPARED TO SPILLING WATER IS THE SAME!?!?!?

2 other issues.
1. Litter
We already have this HUGE problem. The field which all of you love so much, is constantly littered with bottles and food wrappers that come out from the SAC
2. Subsidy on the food bought from SAC
Not really a clear reason, but the school does not want the students to buy the food and 打包回家吃. Its the same for every school. There is always a slight subsidy when buying food from school. The school and vendors do not want people from outside the school to take advantage of this privilage that is given to students and staff only.

Now is my turn I suppose Minesweepermaster please sont mind my ways... I think the prefects should respond to Chestee's question you all keep on evading it. I also feel that people can be told nicely to do their 1,2,3s (from Mr Liang) and they will listen. Problem is no one ever does that except some kind teachers so you use the hard way you receive bad treatment its like a cycle. Anyway, who will want to drop food and spill drinks in the classroom? Toddlers perhaps and maybe people who drool may let some sweet stuff drip on the floor.
Prefects are coming down too hard on their nominess nowdays. They are demonic andjust simply give an excuse to separate the strong from the weak just to excersie their demonic inhuman ways. I think this should b changed and I AM GLAD that I am not a prefect as you all can see what it has down to our poor friends
P.S Minesweepermaster pls do not mind my soft ways
