Frosty always gives points that cannot be easily rebutted. Then again, lemme sum up points for both sides- oops, i guess the Dbate has gone from cheering all the way to shouting and talking nicely. WOW. nvm, i sure don't mind this transition, but its kinda weird now. And, if Keith Tan actually murders you, you can't preapre for death anymore. You're already dead and its his turn! Thats why im in the debating team. This debate is nice, isnt it? = = anyway, if he murders you, you PREPARE for death because its GOING to happen, but hasnt happened yet. Thus the time frame < "tomorrow" >. @ Assasinator. completely O.T

"uhhh.. uhmm... uhhh knock it down. . . please?I SAID KNOCK IT DOWN d**nIT"Get the difference between the shouting and nice way? It is an ORDER an order is meant to be strict you have no right in influencing or disrespecting / showing disloyalty to an order Thus, stop complaining and execute the order. By the time you finish complaining about how strict drills are and because they shout so much, the boy's brigade camp would have started and you would be in alot of arm cramping pain fIRSTLY, SHOUTING WILL NOT CREATE HAPPINESS. You can say that your knock it down method works but what happens if a person just says please coaperate with me. Most people like me will listen. And I beg your pardon, but just to clarify UYOs have changed our mindsets that we have no right to disobey disrespect an order. Actually in fact I would long to see people refusing to get pump when they are told to do so. Precisely. Tintin. No.1 you just quit BB cos' u did not like the idea of what you would call 'dictation' In the Pwefects thread, I mentioned that the prefects could do things nicely and the ones who would really want to change would. I also said that the thick skinned ones like CaleBang will not give a f*cking d**n. The same goes for UYO. Just that the line between trying to obey and defiance is blurred. Don't they tell you "5 min water break. Be here on time"? Then you slack around, fall in 2 mins late and then KNOCK IT DOWN!!!. Didn't they already tell you to be back on time nicely?( Remember "5 min water break. Be here on time") You were the thick skinned one who was not consious of they trying the nice way so they tried the hard way.(Now carry on 20) Shouting will not create happiness. No one likes to scold, nor be scolded.(It hurts the throat too) Cooperativeness? Pah! be nice all the time and others will be nicer(See above) And as if CB CaleBBang will cooperate. No right to disobey an order in UGs? LOL!!!1.Disobey lar. I will like to see what happens to you. 2.RESPECT. Thats the right they have over you. If you choose not to respect them because they are of higher rank than respect them because they are your teachers imparting knowledge to you. Yes by all means pull strings by making friends with them but as you respect your teachers, respect your peer leaders, or 'student teachers'.

Which is more unsightly...one ass stuck up in the air, or a bunch of about 30?
Definately 30, Tintin says.
Well, it won't be very nice to look at if YOU'RE that loser.

@ Tintin's statement
Ever wondered how the phrase "stick out like a sore thumb" came about? Its better to bear the burden and make it seem normal for 30 asses rather than to embarrass and kill off 1. Another phrase for ya "there's strength in numbers"

I am back since webmaster has cancelled the wedding. Ok now back to debating If I am a Sec 4 guy and I tell my juniors some instructions nicely but sternly, they will listen to me and respect me as I am different from the others. @mournigfrost Yes I heard the phrase before. However, it is best to scold the guy and embarrass him so he will learn to not be so selfish in the future. And there is absolutely no need to punish the entire group when no one else did anything wrong. There is no strength in numbers in my opinion.

Welcome back Tin! Now we have someone to express his own views that happen to oppose our views!(i say this politely lol ; ) ) Now, from Tin Tin's last statement, it boils down to this question- is it right to punish the whole group if one person makes a mistake? Ok- when one guy screws up, you notice that they dun pick out that person. Why? It is so that nobody gets ostrasized! If they punish that one guy and not others, it would look ugly wouldn't it? They do everything with a reason- Punishing the whole group gives the whole group team spirit- encouragement to finish that last 10 push-ups, making everyone to focus. And about the talking nicely part- Dumb. Think back to why do they NOT TALK NICELY- it would be better for their throats right? But back to the authority part- It is Bcause of the shouting it gives the group urgency to finish their task quick and efficiently, without slacking.

Woot back as a CORPORAL And im here to tell you how scary the CPR course was. Well, for one, noone listened to the instructor when he talked nicely and he got fuming. And he shouted. Everyone shut up and didnt dare talk for 5 min. Then they started again. Then he punished us. Duh.

Firstly, They will listen to you? Pah! OMG go try lar. secondly: Scold the guy and embarrass him. And yo said no scolding and shouting. Thirdly: One for all all for one. It builds spirit when everyone suffers together and being 'punished' by your peers and consience is far worse than any other kind of punishment.

There is no strength in numbers in my opinion. Ok, now I have completely NO IDEA why you said that. Use a different phrase if you must, but say thus so that people won't misunderstand what you are trying to state. webmaster

There's no strength in numbers eh?
Then why not try doing everything urself then? Like building Singapore or doing a major projects? You can't, can you? That's why there's strength in numbers

yes but sometimes there can be strength in no numbers for example prefect camp how many were there? 16 we cheered as loud as 50 why? there was passion and also we were so afraid of being knocked down example: if ur a prefect there is a cheering going on at rugby finals ur he only one that is free and able to make it to the stadium so ur the only prefect r u gonna just sit there or would u start a cheer all one needs is passion and the drive

Sht up abt ur propoganda now. Anyway I think Tintin lives in the Rockies/Himalayas/Andes/Alps/Southern Alps because the less people there are in mountains the more oxygen the climbers have=Higher chance of surviving.
P.S. BA wore CHIJ uniform during NP camp yesterday.
