Ah yes Vista copied Mac OS 10.4 tiger. Then now, Mac released Mac Os 10.5, leopard. Putting vista out of date. So what is this spotted animal which I am starving to get? Well, to begin with, its the latest 'sequel' to the mac OS X family for Apple Macs. It comes in two versions, one for a desktop, and the other for servers(trust me you wouldnt need one of those unless your father works for Stahub or Singnet).
Well, Apple says about over 300 changes have been made to the Apple OS from the Tiger RAWR! to the Leopard RAWR!!!. This includes changes to the desktop, the dock, the new menu thingy in which where you click on the folder on the dock is fans out or just neatly arranges its contents into a grid, and a new finder with cover flow like iTunes(Or Vista's live display thingy) Allowing you to see your documents in a BIGGER preview.
And if you like that dumb deskspace crap, Mac OS leopard has that built in. The new spaces function gives you four desktops, and a very cool animation allowing showing you what screen you are swapping to so you don't open that Warcraft 3 when the teacher is watching (Of course no its Rome Total War for Chestee and ACSSILAS FORUM AND CHAT for the rest of us).
But my personal Favourite is time machine. Its Mac's Cool new backup software. So what is it exactly. Well Mac OS tells you to sync time machine with a storage device. Usually everyday, unless otherwise specified, the computer will back up your files onto time machine, and index the files by date. Then your com crashes cos you were watching too much porn and you want to watch your downloaded porn without downloadinbg your 100GB worth of it back for that would take too long and you cant survive one day without 5 hrs of it. So you start time machine and then it gives you a sort of timeline, like the windows aero flip 3D thing, only without the slant. As you scroll to the previous backup dates, you will see the state of your desktop on the particular time where you backed it up. Just click on the date where you want to restore, and time machine will restore all your porn back so you can watch. Yay now Chestee wants one.
If u wanna learn more go watch the virtual tour on Apple.com cos we most probably cant afford it but I feel that its much, if not way, better than vista.
