Now that almost half the season is over, it's time again for speculation about who will win the EPL.
With teams reinforced by players coming in during the January transfer window, the race is bound to get more interesting.
Will it be the powerful Manchester United? Will it be the stylish Arsenal?
Will it be the pragmatic Chelsea? Or will some dark house suddenly pop up and win the title?
Equally interesting is the race to beat the drop. Has buying a lot of new players affect teams near and in the relegation zone?
Can Derby miraculously escape? Can Wigan, Fulham, Birmingham, Reading and Sunderland escape the drop?
Besides voting in the poll, you can also state which 3 teams do you think will go down. If possible, please give your explanation for your choices.
My choices:
Title: Manchester United
Reason: They seem to have the strongest firepower in every department. Although I think Arsenal will push them to the very end, Sir Alex Ferguson and his players, being mature, have the capacity to prevent Arsenal from winning. Arsenal's players are young and may not be strong enough to take the pressure. As for Chelsea, I believe that there will be a clash of egos in the dressing room and Avram Grant will not be able to handle both dressing room matters and the pressure that Ferguson and Arsene Wenger will inevitably put on him.
Relegation: Derby, Fulham, last choice not chosen.
Reason:Derby are too far adrift and escaping the relegation is a bridge too far. Fulham are lacking firepower in all departments even with the signings from the January Transfer Window. I feel that this will be their undoing. The last relegation place is too close to call because the remaining teams are quite decent and their managers can take pressure quite well too. I believe the fight will go right down the wire.
