My rating - 5/10
Movie Review
Not comparable with the book. Many parts of the book have been cut from the movie so that it will not be too long for the viewers, thus making the movie like s**t. For example, Eragon's meeting with Jeod didn't happen, which mean he didn't go to Teirm.
Also, Brom's objective when he rescued Eragon from Carvahall was very different from that of the book. Brom, in the movie, wanted to bring Eragon to join the Varden.
However, whether you have read the book or not, you should be able to enjoy the special effects of the movie because it is quite spectular.

aww nuts i'd give it 3/10
for one, the IMPORTANT scenes were cut, the VERY IMPACT-MAKING scenes were altered or significantly shortened. Saphira grew up in like 3 seconds in the movie. Its too quick and there was like 5 whole minutes of horseback rides~~ whee -.-

The movie fails. The major scenes were all cut off and the climax was totally boring and short compared to the book. Film adaptations have limits, so theyre always more limited compared to the book where imagination is boundless. sad
