Hi, this is my first guide and it will be on Viper, 1 of mine favourite heroes. If is sux or needs to be improved, please add on. Thanks.
Level:
1 - poison attack
2 - corrosive skin
3 - poison attack
4 - corrosive skin
5 - poison attack
6 - Viper strike
7 - poison attack
8 - corrosive skin
9 - corrosive skin
10 - Frenzy
11 - Viper strike
12 - Frenzy
13 - Frenzy
14 - Frenzy
15 - attribute bonus
16 - Viper Strike
17-25 - attribute bonus
Explanation:
Poison Attack - Viper's bread and butter skill, so you need to max it first. This skill is useful when chasing other heroes as it slows their movement speed by 40% and deals 24 damage per second for 2 seconds at level 4, so you can not only slow enemies down and chase them, but also deal damage to them slowly. The 24 damage per second is nothing to be laughed at especially if you have quite a lot of mana.
Corrosive Skin - This skill helps a lot as it reduces damage 20%, deals 20 damage per second for 3 seconds and reduces magic damage by 20%. This helps in your protection and if your enemy attacks you while you attack him using poison attack, you will deal 48 damage per second. This is the skill that makes Viper scary. You can up this to level 3 after poison attack level 3 if you want.
Viper Strike - This is Viper's ulti, and this is his best skill. If you spam this and continue attacking you enemy with poison attack, it's ownage. Enough said.
Frenzy - I up this the last because it is not very useful in the early as Viper's damage, armour and health are not very high. However, in the late game when Viper's damage, health and armour are very high, the 20% more damage will not affect you much while the 100% increased attack will be deadly. I don't spam this often.
Item Build (In order):
Power Threads, The Butterfly, Buriza, and maybe Assualt if enough money and time.
Explanation:
Viper doesn't need travel because his ms should be enough to chase enemies after spamming poison attack or viper strike. Of course, with travel you can teleport aroung the map but other than that not really much of a use. Waste of money to me.
Of course, flask, bottle and tangos can also be bought in early game. I feel that you should get 1 wraith band and 1 bracer or 2 wraith bands(depending on preference) in early game to give you an advantage over others.
Butterfly should be obvious. 30 damage, 30 agil(which makes it 60 in total), 30% evasion and 30% attack speed plus the armour from the from the agil = OWNAGE
Buriza is for the critical strike and the 75 damage. Add 75 damage + 60 damage + attribute bonus damage and the figure is very high. An alternetive to this is MKB.
Assault will make you invincible. 15 armour and 5 armour reduction from enemies, 55% attack speed. Imagine if you max attribute bonus and add this with buriza and butterfly. Plus, corrosive skin and poison attack, what will you get? OWNAGE TOTALE!!!!!!!!
Please add on to this guide if you feel that it is not sufficent
