I know some of us like our UYOs, while others like .....le hate theirs. But the question is why do most students hate their UYOs? If the answers above are not what you have in mind, feel free to post your own reasons or explanations

1. It takes up like 6hrs of your valuable friday time. Then you cum back late and sleep, wasting more time.
2. It takes more commitment than other CCAs. More camps more activities.
3. You tell me the army food sux. Chestee, u might like it i dunno y but dads always give very poor impressions about that evil place saying that they do this do that to you. Doesnt that psycho u into not wanting 2 join tha ARMY?

Okay anyway, in my opinion, UYOs are not THAT bad as many people make it out to be. It instills discipline and promotes team work. What;s so bad about this? Don't tell me the pumpings. If u are too weak, go drown yourself. If people like me can do it, why can't you? Tough? Im having a laugh. You are an ACSian. Shouldn't you be both mentally and physically stong?
Seriously, can't you take a little bit of hardship? If not why would Singapore and the school implement it? Think about it.

Singapore implements it cos they have no choice. The School? As you gave the reason i will follow it agreed. But hey Im weaker then Wesley and Im doin it. Tintin nobody likes doing things they dont wish to do. but sometimes you have to rise to the challenge. Its not like you will always be given an option...

Agreeing with BM's point there. There are some things in life of which you just cannot say 'no' to (unless you go against your moral principles).

You can't say that, Wesltw. You're brow-beating the defendant.
(Maybe you got out because of that blister-on-foot thing ._.)

Wait a minute, you cant go around telling other's what are their moral prinicples! It is his choice on what his moral priniciples are! Although what is morally right to him might probably be morally wrong to us lol.

Fine. My point is, although many of us dun like our UYOs, it is and integral part of our lives and those without it dun know what they are missing.

We can remove it from our lives and make it not an integral part of our lives. I am without it and it is so much more fun
